Gayle, I admire you for what you've accomplished. I'm extremely obese and have been trying to lose weight for the last 31 years (!!), however yo-yoíng got me to what I am now: a walking, talking fat suit. Like you wrote yourself in Wake up: I'm killing myself in a slow, but certain way. The strange thing is: I know how to lose weight, I know what to do. Still I don't stop my selfdestruction. To be honest I'm at the end of my rope and don't know how to get out of this anymore.. For I know what I do is wrong and I still cannot stop.....
Gayle--Super inspiring! I also started CrossFit and the Zone in Nov 2008. I'm down 42 pounds today and what a journey!
Where are you??? Would love to hear a more recent update from you!
Great Job!!
Hi Gayle, Awesome job! We have a lot in common. I was a yo-yoer and last year hit rock bottom at 275#. I found Crossfit and now I'm 211# 20%BF and feel like a human again. I'm glad you're sharing your story. Crossfit and Zone/Paleo has changed our lives and the lives of many others! To everyone who has or is living in a fat suit...try Crossfit! You have an animal inside you just dying to get out and rip these workouts to shreds!!! Your brain is telling you your body can't do something that it was made to do! Get past the mental block and get your life back!
I was and am very inspired by everything I read and saw today. I comment Gayle and hold her in such high regard. She showed that you do struggle during the weightlost battle but you have to pick yourself back up and keep fighting for your ultimate goal....
Gayle..I just wanted to let you know that I think you are awesome. I have been following your weight loss journey for a couple years now since I found you on myspace. I'm so proud of you for keeping at it and making your dreams come true. I was sorry you didn't win the Face of Fox..I know there will be something better out there for you and I wish you the very best in everything. I wish you lived closer to me and that way we could dance our asses off together! he he!
Gayle, I think karma has sent me to you. Yesterday I did my first "official" CrossFit workout (Cindy) and I fell in love with it. I am not exactly what you would call "elite" material and I wasn't even sure if a 240 lb woman was "allowed" to do CrossFit. I searched the CF boards and found you and your story. I was intrigued, impressed, and motivated. And then this morning, Kristin Steede posted a blog story about you! Good luck in your quest!
Lucky I found your site through Twitter. Beginning a weight loss program Thursday, with a local doctor, who will help keep me "in the zone". I plan to keep up with your progress as a way to keep me focused on my progress. Thanks for inspiring the rest of us.
Hi Gayle! I am also working on a new ending as you said on your page. It gets pretty lonely, since non of my family or friends has the same issue, but I am doing it!! Good luck and here's to seeing less of us real soon! lol Hugs, Jo
I am proud of you! I myself have yo-yo'd my whole entire life. I got my wake up call when I had my baby girl. I was 22 and weight 387 pounds when I left the hospital! I'm 25 now and have lost 160 pounds so far but I still need to keep going so I've signed up for the boot camps and will be doing cross training next thanks for the inspiration!
Hi Gayle! You look AMAZING! I keep looking at your site for inspiration to lose the baby weight.....Keep up the fantastic work! I'd love to see you soon!
XOXO

Hey Gayle - I've been keeping up with your site (and Myspace page) for a while now. I am so amazed at all that you've accomplished! I know that there are ups and downs but it seems that overall, you're moving in the right direction. Congrats on changing your life! :-)
Hi Gayle! I've been on your site a few times, and never signed your guestbook! (bowing my head in shame) I just wanted to thank you again for your time and effort into making that video and for YOUR hard work and dedication! Can't wait to spend some time with you during our trip to the Nutrition Seminar at the end of the month.
Love,
Nicole

Keep up the good work. You are looking great! I believe you are stronger than the local high school football team after watching your weight training session. It's amazing looking at your weigh-in pictures how skinny your feet have gotten also.
